Cremation Empty Cremation

Tue Jul 31, 2018 8:09 pm
Name: Cremation
Category: Emission
Range: Medium
Description: The user gains the ability to produce blue flames from their arms/hands and small parts of their torso. The flames are much weaker on the torso and only work to make a small shield against melee attacks but the flames from the arms are capable of destroying rock at D-rank. While the user cannot manipulate the flames that come from their body they are able to condense the flames to a smaller point at higher ranks. This helps to increase the strength of the flames but decreasing the area of damage. These flames gain the blue coloration from their intense heat but this heat comes with a side effect, that being much lower control than if they had a weaker flame.

D-Rank: The user can destroy any material equal in rank with a single technique from their flames. At Freeform, the user may incinerate a tree with ease and start a wildfire rather easily.

C-Rank: The user can destroy any material equal in rank with a single technique from their flames and are able to resist the damage from their flames. At Freeform, the user is able to incinerate many metals as strong as iron.

B-Rank: The user can melt through all materials equal to their control rank or lower with a technique. Along with this, they can keep the flames from spreading. At Freeform, the user is able to incinerate most metals up to titanium with ease.

A-Rank: The user can melt through all materials lower than or equal to their control rank with a technique and no longer take damage from their own fire. At Freeform, the user is able to destroy a train with a single flame.

S-Rank: The user can destroy any material equal to their control rank with a technique and can freeform melt through any material A rank or lower. Along with this, the user can disperse their flames after emitting them. At Freeform, the user is also able to melt through the bottom floor of a skyscraper.

Drawbacks: The user is able to emit these flames but despite this, they still take damage from the flames until A rank. This means they cannot stand in the flames and if they don't put the flames out quickly they will take damage from the flames that stay on the user. Along with this, they cannot manipulate the flames at low ranks at all and no matter the rank they cannot change the shape of the flames. These flames can still be put out by high amounts of water and fire extinguishers. If the user is soaking wet they will be unable to create flames.

Limit-Break: When going over the limit by -5 the user's flames will start damaging the user even further while nullifying any resistances or immunities from rank. Along with this at -10 the user will suffer from heat stroke causing the user to hallucinate, sweat until dehydration, and suffer a -3 for speed. At -15 the user will collapse and be unable to move. And at -20 the user will die from dehydration unless another pc or npc saves them by feeding them a constant supply of water for two posts. -5 lasts for 2 turns, -10 3, -15 4, and -20 5 turns before they recover.

Cremation Empty Re: Cremation

Quirk:
-So, just to address the logic of it, for the defensive shield here from the torso wouldn't be from fire itself (as fire has no mass, can't create force of it's own existence, etc...) but the creation of fire itself can act as a shield (similar to how an explosion displaces air). Further, for the freeform aspects of your quirk at each rank it should be nerfed (trees are fine at D rank but wildfires themselves should be at a higher level and follow suit from there).
-At C-rank: "and are able to resist the damage from their flames." What does this refer to? And, "Along with this, they can keep the flames from spreading." How does the user do this via fire creation? (this second also applies to later ranks)
-At S-rank: "Along with this, the user can disperse their flames after emitting them." Again, I'd like to see this mechanic elaborated upon

Drawbacks:
-I've gotten what the resistance/damage does to the person but you should elaborate that at each level (how they resist the damage and by how much, etc...).
-How does the user put out the flames? Covered before but reiterating as a reminder here
-Cannot manipulate the flames at low rank, how low of a rank and when they can manipulate them, how well can they do so? (I'm a bit confused because changing shape is the default for how I imagine manipulating them)

Limit Break:
-At -5 how much more damage do they take from the flames?
-At -15/-20 how does this work when it's defined at -10 the user falls unconscious?
